This third release of the year and 18th in the series features quarters with a reverse design commemorating Great Basin National Park in Nevada.

That design, by Ronald D. Sanders, shows a Bristlecone Pine tree and the rocky glacial moraines where they grow. Surrounding inscriptions read GREAT BASIN, NEVADA, 2013 and E PLURIBUS UNUM.

Included inside the display card are three Great Basin National Park Quarters that are produced specifically for coin collectors. These include:

  • one uncirculated quarter from the Philadelphia Mint
  • one uncirculated quarter from the Denver Mint
  • one proof quarter from the San Francisco Mint

Each of these America the Beautiful Quarters has a mint mark of either P, D or S to designate the production at the US Mint facility of Philadelphia, Denver or San Francisco.

Price

Three-Coin Sets made their debut alongside each of the America the Beautiful Quarters that have been issued since 2010. Packaging and pricing has changed over the years.

All but one of the previous released sets remain available from the US Mint. Those from 2010-2011 cost $14.95 each and have display cards that are US Mint-branded black and white. Since 2012, the sets run at $9.95 and have display cards featuring images of the national park or national site commemorated.

Ordering Sets

To order any of the sets, simply visit the United States Mint website at www.usmint.gov or call the toll-free number at 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468).

The US Mint does charge $4.95 per order for domestic shipping and handling, which makes it a good idea to stack an order with more than one product.

Circulation quality versions of the Great Basin quarter were released in rolls, sets and bags on June 10, 2013.

Past and Upcoming 2013 Three-Coin Sets

Already released this year were three-coin set with America the Beautiful Quarters depicting White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire and Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial in Ohio.

Upcoming sets for 2013 include those with quarters celebrating Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine in Maryland and Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota.
