Circulation release dates for the five 2014 America the Beautiful Quarters range from January to November, keeping with recent tradition and according to newly published data by the Federal Reserve Bank Services — Federal Reserve Banks place U.S. Mint orders for circulating coinage based on circulation needs and orders they receive from local financial institutions.
Only confirming the existence of them earlier this week, the United States Mint has now offered additional details on the debut of the first circulation quality 2012-S America the Beautiful Quarters manufactured at the San Francisco Mint and bearing the "S" mint mark.
The Federal Reserve Bank published circulation release dates for the 2012 America the Beautiful Quarters. Upon dispensation, the Federal Reserve will fulfill inventory orders coming from various banks and other financial institutions across the nation who supply the general public’s circulating coinage.
The picture has become clearer for when the 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters will begin to circulate. While the United States Mint has started to create the buzz for the first Hot Springs National Park Quarter set to enter circulation on April 19, 2010, with a following ceremonial launch on the 20th, it has remained silent as to the release dates for the following four quarters of the year.
Other entities must be prepared for the quarter releases, outside the U.S. Mint and its processes. Most notable is the Federal Reserve, which is actually responsible for receiving new U.S. Mint coinage and then distributing it to the various banks who supply the Nation’s circulating change.
The U.S. Mint this week said two-roll sets and 100-coin bags of the quarter-dollars will be available on April 19, 2010 at noon Eastern Time. The coins will be officially released into circulation on the same day.
The Hot Springs National Park Quarter is the first of the 56 quarters in the new 11-year program to honor National Parks and other National Sites in each state, DC and US Territories. Hot Springs National Park is located in Arkansas and presumably an official ceremonial launch by the Mint would occur there — an annoucement is yet to be made. Numismatic America the Beautiful Quarters products for 2010 were revealed when the United States Mint released its preliminary schedule for the year in late December.
It was that same schedule which unveiled the very likely release dates for the new 2010 quarters that honor Hot Springs National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Yosemite National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, and Mount Hood National Forest.
The schedule coupled with the US Mint’s already available subscription program, which enables the public to buy future coin products and have them delivered when they are released, provides a general idea of what collector quarter products to expect this year, when they will be issued, and even some preliminary prices.
