Numismatic America the Beautiful Quarters products for 2010 were revealed when the United States Mint released its preliminary schedule for the year in late December.
It was that same schedule which unveiled the very likely release dates for the new 2010 quarters that honor Hot Springs National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Yosemite National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, and Mount Hood National Forest.
The schedule coupled with the US Mint’s already available subscription program, which enables the public to buy future coin products and have them delivered when they are released, provides a general idea of what collector quarter products to expect this year, when they will be issued, and even some preliminary prices.
Here is a table of products, schedule and prices:

The following is a brief description for the above listed numismatic offerings:
The 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Proof Set for $14.95 contains clad versions of the five new quarters each struck to proof condition at the San Francisco Mint, and thus bear the ‘S’ mintmark. A proof coin has mirror-like surfaces and sharper detail than a circulation strike.
In the 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set for $29.95, you will also get the five new quarters, but this time struck at the San Francisco Mint from 90% silver and 10% copper.
In the United States Mint Uncirculated Mint Set® for $27.95, buyers get 28 coins struck to uncirculated quality from burnished blanks resulting in a satin-like finish. 14 of the coins are from the Denver Mint and 14 coins are from the Philadelphia Mint.
The 2010 United States Mint Proof Set® includes clad versions of each of the five 2010 quarters, the four Presidential $1 coins, the 2010 Native American $1 coin, the 2010 Lincoln cent, the Jefferson nickel, the Roosevelt dime, and the Kennedy half-dollar. The 14 coins each bear the San Francisco “S” mint mark, and are struck in proof condition. The price is $29.95.
The United States Mint Silver Proof Set for $52.95 contains the same coins, but the dime, half-dollar and five quarters are struck from 90% silver and 10% copper.
The US Mint will also release related products to the new quarters, like the America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coins. These five ounce, .999 fine silver coins are replicas of the new quarter designs. No timeline for these have been published. The Mint has only stated that the bullion coins will be available in the same year as the quarters to which they are related.
The America the Beautiful Quarters Program will feature 56 newly designed quarter-dollars for issue between 2010 to 2021. Each year will feature a differing reverse theme that honors a specific national park or other national site from each U.S. state, the District of Columbia and US Territory — Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands and Northern Mariana Islands.
