Last week the United States Mint unveiled designs for the 2015 America the Beautiful Quarters honoring national sites in Nebraska, Louisiana, North Carolina, Delaware and New York.
There are forty-four in total. These will be pared down to five by the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury following reviews by organizations such as the Commission of Fine Arts (CFA), and the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) and final recommendations from the U.S. Mint. America the Beautiful Quarters Series
2015 America the Beautiful Quarters mark the 26th – 30th sites commemorated in the series, or more than halfway through the program that is scheduled to honor 56 sites in total with the last one in 2021. Check back toward the end of 2014 for an official announcement showcasing the final designs for the five 2015-dated quarters.
