2015 America the Beautiful Quarters Designs

Last week the United States Mint unveiled designs for the 2015 America the Beautiful Quarters honoring national sites in Nebraska, Louisiana, North Carolina, Delaware and New York.

There are forty-four in total. These will be pared down to five by the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury following reviews by organizations such as the Commission of Fine Arts (CFA), and the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) and final recommendations from the U.S. Mint. Quarters for 2015 honor:

  • Homestead National Monument of America in Nebraska
  • Kisatchie National Forest in Louisiana
  • Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina
  • Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge in Delaware
  • Saratoga National Historical Park in New York

2015 Homestead National Monument of America Quarter Design

There are twelve design candidates for Nebraska’s Homestead National Monument America the Beautiful Quarter.

2015 Kisatchie National Forest Quarter Design

There are eight design candidates for Louisiana’s 2015 Kisatchie National Forest America the Beautiful Quarter.

2015 Blue Ridge Parkway Quarter Design

There are six design candidates for North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Parkway America the Beautiful Quarter.

2015 Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge Quarter Design

There are eight design candidates for Delaware’s Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge America the Beautiful Quarter.

2015 Saratoga National Historical Park Quarter Design

There are ten design candidates for New York’s Saratoga National Historical Park America the Beautiful Quarter.

America the Beautiful Quarters Series

2015 America the Beautiful Quarters mark the 26th – 30th sites commemorated in the series, or more than halfway through the program that is scheduled to honor 56 sites in total with the last one in 2021. Check back toward the end of 2014 for an official announcement showcasing the final designs for the five 2015-dated quarters.

  1. Are the 12 designs for Nebraska the only designs to choose from. I feel like the North Platte Canteen would represent the whole state of Nebraska better then any of the designs shown. The spirit and volunteerism shown during that time is a good example of the people of Nebraska.

  2. Kaycee, the quarter for Nebraska must be emblematic of Homestead National Monument of America . At this stage, the final selected design is very likely to be one of the 12, though that one could see some changes based on recommendations.
