Tuesday, April 19 the United States Mint will release the 2011 America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Coin Set™ at 12 noon Eastern Time for $21.95.
It is the sixth annual set so far this year to contain all five of the 2011 America the Beautiful Quarters. The set is made up of 10 coins in all — two strikes of each quarter design. One portion of quarters is from the United States Mint facility in Philadelphia and the other is from Denver, each with their corresponding mint mark. The set includes:
- the 2011-P and D Gettysburg National Military Park Quarter (Pennsylvania),
- the 2011-P and D Glacier National Park Quarter (Montana),
- the 2011-P and D Olympic National Park Quarter (Washington),
- the 2011-P and D Vicksburg National Military Park Quarter (Mississippi), and
- the 2011-P and D Chickasaw National Recreation Area Quarter (Oklahoma)
Each coin features a brilliant uncirculated finish, meaning extra care and attention is given during the minting process. The packaging includes brief information about each of the historic national parks and recreation areas commemorated on the quarters.
The set is being released much earlier than last year’s version, which launched on November 23, 2010 for the same price of $21.95. This year’s early release is due in large part to the US Mint’s effort to make annual sets available at the beginning of the year to appeal to more non-traditional customers, like special occasion gift givers.
Other sets currently available from the Mint that also contain all five quarters are this year’s Proof Set, Silver Proof Set, Uncirculated Coin Set, America the Beautiful Quarters Proof Set, and America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set.
Orders will be accepted the United States Mint website at http://www.usmint.gov/catalog or by phone at 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468). Hearing and speech-impaired customers with TTY equipment may place their orders by calling 1-888-321-MINT (6468). A shipping and handling fee of $4.95 will be added to all domestic orders.
