The United States Mint is offering three more quarter-only sets in addition to the already issued America the Beautiful Quarters Proof Set and the America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set.
The other sets are the 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Three-Coin Set, the 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Circulating Coin Set, and the 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Coin Set.
These three new individual sets will go on sale directly from the U.S. Mint towards the end of November. They already have been available for order through the Mint’s Subscription Program since May. The service offers uninterrupted, automatic delivery of the products upon their launch.
On November 17, 2010, the Mint will issue the 2010 Hot Springs Quarters Three-Coin Set for $13.95. Two of the coins will be uncirculated quality, one from Denver’s facility and one from Philadelphia. The third coin will be proof quality from the San Francisco facility. As it turns out, the four other 2010 quarters‘ three-coin sets will not be issued until 2011.
In the 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Circulating Coin Set, which will be released a few days later on November 19, 2010, will be ten coins. The coins will be circulation quality and consist of the five park designs of 2010. Half of the quarters will be minted in Denver and the other half minted in Philadelphia. This set will be sold for $9.95.
Finally, the third set is the 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Coin Set for $21.95. It also contains ten coins, five from Denver and five from Philadelphia, of each of the 2010 park quarters. The difference is that the strikes will be uncirculated quality. This set will go on sale on November 23, 2010.
One feature that adds to the value of the Circulating Coin Set and the Uncirculated Coin Set is the packaging. The coins can easily be removed and placed into albums or other accessories. The Three-Coin Set is packaged on a durable plastic card.
